Registration is from 9.30am with coffee on arrival and the class starts at 10.00am. We keep our class size to a minimum to enable us to work closely with you at each stage. This also fosters a friendly atmosphere and perfect learning environment. (booking essential)
Please contact us for any further information.
The cost of our day workshop is £80.00 per person (payable in advance) which covers everything you need including lunch and refreshments.
We anticipate you taking away a completed bear but in the event of you not finishing in the time allowed, we can offer support over the phone or via email.

WORKSHOPS

Traditional Teddy Bear Making Workshops
from Bear it in Mind
Bear It In Mind offers a workshop that will travel!
If you can provide the venue then we can bring everything else to you. This workshop is designed for enthusiastic adult beginners or those guests wishing to brush-up on the basics of this creative art. (Please note we also offer a more advanced workshop which is held over two days.) The bear your guests will be making is called Phileas. He is made using German mohair fabric and gives the attendees an opportunity to learn techniques such as setting ears and glass eyes, fitting a cotter-pin neck joint, string jointing, nose and claw stitching and finally, stuffing and assembly.
Phileas is achievable in a day as long as guests have basic sewing skills. If for any reason, the bear is not completed in the time, we are happy to offer over-the-phone or online assistance.
SCHEDULE.
10.30am start
1.00pm lunch (venue to provide)
2.00pm restart
5.30pm finish
NB Although we do not plan to stop during the morning and afternoon sessions, mid morning coffee and afternoon tea should be provided.
We would require a room for the workshop which has good lighting, tables to work at and hard backed chairs, e.g. conference seating.
Our charges are as follows;
£60.00 per person, to include all materials, equipment and tuition.
£50.00 per person for workshops with more than 10 attendees.
It would be our pleasure to discuss this day package with you and to answer any further queries you may have. We can also provide you with our Weekend Package information should you be interested. This offers a family experience and runs from Friday to Sunday.
We thank you for your interest in what we believe to be a truly unique visitor experience and look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
